I took a drive up to Leavenworth this evening (40 miles to the north). I saw a listing that has been neglected. The grass was overgrown. Apparently a creative Realtor hired some deer to come in the yard and give the grass a trim. Now that's creative!
There were three deer in the front of this yard. The other two were off to the left just a bit. This one almost looked like a yard ornament!
While the other two were a little skiddish, this one just looked at me and continued eating grass. HOME IS OFF MARKET!
I asked them how much they charged to mow a lawn and they said, "Oh, a buck will do!"
Oh Deer!

Yes, I know. My grass is getting a little long. Why didn't you honk when you drove by? My wife tells me it should get cut more often.

With all that corn, you'll have no problem attracting some deer yourself!
That is going to be a fat deer. If the back yard looks the same, you can probably find them sleeping there too!

I was at my favorite local shop soing a sewing fun-day as the owner was getting ready. And then a huge carload from a shop up north stopped in on their way to Market.

Yep, Houston is Fall Quilt Market and my wife Eula will be there too. About every month she goes away on Quilt retreats and markets and shows and leaves me. I have gone to Portland with her and Houston with her but that is it.
