I started thinking of ways I can easily get info on homes available to sellers so they can do a mini CMA. I decided to buy six domain names of zip codes that I service followed by the word homes. They are:
http://www.66006homes.com/ http://www.66025homes.com/ http://www.66044homes.com/ http://www.66046homes.com/ http://www.66047homes.com/ http://www.66049homes.com/
Except for Coldwell Banker whose listings I had to pull out due to their desires not to IDX (anyone understand why they don't want others to promote their properties??), both buyers and sellers can see what is available on the market now. I will eventually be adding another part to the page or a link to another page that lists the SOLDs and the prices that the homes received.

Gena, not sure why the links won't pull up for you so I sent them to you in an AR contact. We can't do this on the MLS since zip code is not a searchable field. The CMA on Paragon 1 is bulky and time consuming to do them one by one and the local MLS won't upgrade to a better version.
Gena, I tried making the image with a larger font and sharpen it but it is only marginally better.
Well, I have changed the format of http://www.66006homes.com/ http://www.66025homes.com/ http://www.66044homes.com/ http://www.66046homes.com/ http://www.66047homes.com/ http://www.66049homes.com/ to be feature sheets on each active listing in the zip code and all the SOLD's in the past year or so.
This should be a quick CMA check for sellers to see where they want to price their home so it will sell. Then when they are ready to list, they can give me a call and I can market their home for them.

I had to change the format again due to LBOR rules. Seems like they don't want the general public to have the MLS info available to just anyone online. If you are a consumer, feel free to call the Lawrence Board of Realtors and let them know you would like to see more MLS info to be made available on agents' websites. Their number is 785-842-1843.
