For the past three days I have been taking the ABR course and elective. The elective was my last course for my GRI so I now have that GRI to add to my ePro designation and in a few weeks I should hear back from Chicago that I can use the ABR designation. CRS training is my next goal.
Why do I bring all this up? I'm already over my limit for points for blogging so its not that. :) The way I look at it is that one more Realtor® has gone beyond just getting licensed and learned graduate level valuable information to share with buyers and sellers in their real estate experiences.
I encourage every Realtor® to go the extra mile and to get trained to better serve consumers. The industry will gain even more respect than it has already for us (#11 I heard is where we are as far as respected occupations goes). Set some goals to obtain your designations that will provide you with an arsenal of tools to use in your chosen vocation.
Consumers win when we are better trained and that's why I said I've got some great news to share to my AR community.
Thanks!

Rob,
We need to study and get more prepared to serve better, agree with that.

Rob,
Congratulations on your newest designation. A commitment to improvement is important. We should all do it.
Rob,
Congrats on your ABR classes, and your dedication to furthering your education by earning designations. I am just one course shy of my ABR designation...hope to do that soon!
Congrats!

Rob,
I am all for education, and I think the CRS is the best group of education classes offered out there. GRI would be the runner up. I took that ABR course with you and I was really let down. What points did you take away from it, if any?
Hi Tanya and Greg,
I think the risk reduction tips were good. You have been licensed in real estate longer than I have and have probably already come across many of the ABR class material but I found several things useful. Doing the http://www.choicetrust.com/ Insurance Credit Score Profile, CLUE report, and checking insurance rate before an offer gets made was also helpful. The needs assessment session regarding buyer as customer was also helpful. I also made up a Mortgage Interest Deduction worksheet while in the class based upon the info taught.
Again, you probably already knew these things.
Thanks!
Rob
