I SOLD 4 houses in April to my buyers that were for $163,000 -- $163,100 -- $247,500 -- $264,900. I have 12 additional houses that are under contract that are set to close prior to June 30th to qualify for the tax credit.
Many home buyers are not aware that they may still qualify for the tax credit even though the deadline has passed. They should call a Realtor agent like myself to find out if they still qualify.
The interesting part that amuses me is that while the tax credit has now expired, there are buyers still out there making purchases!! I would have thought that they would have gotten their order in by the deadline but while the tax credit helped several home buyers, sellers should be thrilled to see that they haven't missed the boat and that there is still hope.
Sellers can give me a call to see how I can assist them to get their home SOLD and to get the best price for their home. I quite often get full asking price for my listings or at least very close to asking price.
Thanks and "Don't keep me a secret--I'm never too busy for your referrals!"

163,000 is a median price in Lawrence amazing. I remember Lawerence being a neat little city while visiting Junction City in 1971.
Hi Ron,
Yes, in 2000 the median house would have been about $100,000. Back in 1971 when I graduated high school, they were around $39,000. Invest here now at $163,000 and probably end up at $200,000 plus for the median house in 2020!

Rob, I think the Tax Credit really helped sales everywhere. I was feeling like we were doing ok even after it expired and then we had The Flood and most things have come to a screeching halt. :(
