Lawrence, KS has some great shops located on Massachussetts St. There is a fun toy store with a large variety of books and toys. There is a place called the "Love Garden" with used records and CD's, they even have cats that lie around the store. There are a few thrift/consignment stores catering more to college students and teenagers and there is a nice department store called Weaver's which is similar to a Dillards or JC Penney's store.
